From my e-mail inbox this morning:

We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we can't.

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,

there will always be sunshine, after the rain....

Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall;

But God's always ready, to answer your call....

He knows every heartache, sees every tear,

a word from His lips, can calm every fear...

Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish, dawn's early light...
The Savior is waiting, somewhere above,

to give you His grace, and send you His love...

God promises a safe landing, not a calm passage.

I have visited these states

H/T to Cheryl for this.

create your own visited states map
or check out these Google Hacks.

I love to look at these types of things, but I find they never work properly on my blog. :(

I am sure there is a way to define size parameters, but I am not in the know of these things, so I will list the states I have visited: Connecticut, D.C., Florida, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island and Vermont. I have not traveled much.

My Memere passed away at 4:50 p.m. on New Year's Day. She had been ill, and was no longer able to eat or drink, so it was not an unexpected death. I will miss her, though.

Dear Lord,
Memere had been wanting to "go home" to you for quite some time now. I pray that her soul rests in peace and that she can be a prayer warrior for us all.
