What a day!

Last evening we got a phone call telling us that my father-in-law is in the hospital. He had a gall bladder attack. This is the second attack in the last 6 months or so. When we talked to him about what the surgeon said after the first attack, he informed us that nothing needed to be done right then. Well, according to the surgeon who removed his gall bladder today because his blood counts were so high (and climbing), the gall bladder was gangrenous and if it had remained another day it might have killed him. On the bright side of all this, they were able to remove it laparscopically so he does not have a huge incision. He does need to remain in the hospital until Monday or Tuesday on IV antibiotics to make sure they got all the infection.

This morning, I got a call from my parents. My grandmother is ill with a bladder infection and needs some help getting to the bathroom, etc. Well, come to find out, the real issue is that Mimmi strained some muscles moving furniture to wash the floor and cannot get up and walk. Poor Mimmi is 90 and suffers with dizziness. On top of the pain in her hamstrings, she is dizzy. On top of all that, she has no appetite from the UTI and is probably dehydrated because she has to run to the bathroom as soon as she has a drink.so she does not drink enough.

Looks like it is going to be a busy week!!!!

Dear Lord,
Please bring your healing to Mimmi and F-I-L. Lay your love on them and help them to accept the help that family members will be bringing to them. Please help the family members to be kind and loving and to reach out sincerely in love to assist them.

Amen.
